The eight-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Avera Queen of Peace fulfills the special needs of seriously ill or injured patients. ICU is staffed with specially trained registered nurses with expertise in treating critical patients. The unit features the latest monitoring technology.

Avera eICU Care

An advanced technology recently added to the Avera Queen of Peace ICU monitors ICU patients by tracking and trending important information such as vital signs, blood tests, x-rays and more. Avera eICU Care is a remote center with its own critical care nurses, physicians and support staff. It is linked to the Avera Queen of Peace ICU by a private communications network.
