These photos in this newspaper clip from the Daily Republic (by photographer Laura Wehde) were taken during the Lilly Oncology on Canvas International Art Competition and Exhibition which was hosted at the Avera Queen of Peace Cancer Center during July 2008.

Above: "This painting, called 'Circle of Light,' was created by a health-care provider who wrote in her artist's description. 'Over 20 years, these families have shared their journeys with me, and I am in awe of their wisdom and grateful for all they have taught me about life and death.'"
