Avera Queen of Peace Announces New Board Members
Thomas P. Rasmusson, President and CEO, Avera Queen of Peace Health Services, is pleased to announce that Terry Torgerson and Rodney Combs have each been appointed to a four-year term on the Avera Queen of Peace Board of Directors effective July 1, 2008.

Terry Torgerson, Senior Vice President for CorTrust Bank Mitchell, replaces Mark Buche who is retiring after serving two terms on our Board of Directors and several terms on our Advisory Board. Torgerson holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant; he has been with CorTrust Bank since 1993 and is currently serving as Senior Vice President of CorTrust Bank in Mitchell. Terry and his wife, Cindy, reside in Mitchell.
Rodney Combs of De Smet, SD, was appointed to the Avera Queen of Peace Board of Directors as a representative of Avera De Smet Memorial Hospital. He is a graphic designer with Lyle Signs in De Smet; he has served on the De Smet Memorial Hospital Board for five years, three of them as Chairperson. In addition, Combs has been involved with De Smet Rescue for 20 years and has served that committee through the offices of Secretary and Vice President. Rodney and his wife, Debra, reside in De Smet.
Paul Rasmussen, MD, and Greg Dice have been reappointed to second four-year terms on the Avera Queen of Peace Board of Directors and Lori Essig has been appointed to her first year term on the Board, having previously completed a partial term.
Mark Graham has been elected Chairperson of the Board of Directors and Roger Musick was elected Vice Chairperson; Dan DesLauriers has retired from the Avera Queen of Peace Board of Directors after serving on the Avera Queen of Peace Board of Directors and Avera Queen of Peace Advisory Board for over 20 years.
