Vice President of Mission Named at Avera Queen of Peace
Thomas P. Rasmusson, President and CEO, Avera Queen of Peace Health Services, is pleased to announce that Sister Roxanne Seifert, PBVM, has been named Vice President of Mission at Avera Queen of Peace Health Services. Sister Roxanne assumed the administrative duties of the Mission Team at Avera Queen of Peace composed of Bonny Culhane, Vice President of Human Resources; Pat Sudbeck, Director of Education Services, and Chris Jones, Director of Coordinated Review/Social Services.
Sister Roxanne’s academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree emphasizing the life sciences from St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, MN, as well as a Master’s degree in Theology and a graduate-level Certificate in Ethics and Leadership from the College of St. Catherine, St. Paul, MN. Her employment history includes more than 10 years in medical product research and development. In 2002 Sister Roxanne began exploring a possible call to consecrated religious life as a Presentation Sister; since 2002 she has served in a variety of ministries including grant writing, vocation outreach, chaplaincy, crisis counseling, and music ministry.
Prior to accepting the position at Avera Queen of Peace, Sister Roxanne completed a post-graduate internship in Mission Integration at Avera St. Luke’s in Aberdeen.
As Vice President of Mission at Avera Queen of Peace, Sister Roxanne will be responsible for ensuring that the philosophy, mission, values, and history of the Avera health care ministry and its co-sponsors, the Benedictine Sisters of Yankton and the Presentation Sisters of Aberdeen, are effectively communicated and integrated throughout the Avera Queen of Peace Health Services region.
Sister Roxanne is a native of Hutchinson, MN, and is the daughter of Myron and Jean Seifert.
