Avera Queen of Peace Announces Freedom from Smoking Program

Avera Queen of Peace Hospital is sponsoring the Freedom from Smoking® Program, the American Lung Association’s plan to assist with adult smoking cessation. Sessions begin October 13 and run through November 24; they will be held every Monday at 5:30 p.m. in Conference Room #1 at the hospital. Cost for the program is $65/person which covers all sessions and materials.

Weekly sessions include the following topics: Thinking about Quitting/Decision Process, Building Motivation, Coping with Urges, Quit Day!, Winning Strategies/Support, Stress Management and Weight Control, Staying off Cigarettes/Try Exercise, and Celebration!.
