Eligibility for Patients and Families

  • Guests or their family’s home needs to be further than 25 miles away.
  • Guests or their family need to currently be receiving in-patient or out-patient care at Avera McKennan.
  • Guests must be able to meet their own personal needs or can be assisted by a family member or other caregiver.
  • All guests must be referred by a hospital social worker.
  • A donation of $20 is suggested. However, no family will be turned away based on inability to pay.
