Our Birthing Suites

Avera McKennan Women's Center has modern and spacious birthing suites so you can live comfortably during your stay with us. After delivery, you will stay in this birthing suite for the duration of your post-partum stay. Our family-centered approach encourages you to stay with your newborn as much as you want, but we also have a nursery so you can enjoy some well-deserved rest.

About Our Birthing Suites

Our rooms are quiet, comfortable and soothingly decorated.We offer hotel suite-like
room amenities, including:

• Comfortable beds and sleeper sofas
• Entertainment centers and CD players
• Refrigerators
• Desk area
• Wireless Internet access
• Whirlpools

Our nursing staff will be with you as much, or as little as you prefer during the labor experience to offer information and support. They will be available at all times post-partum to teach about caring for yourself and your newborn or answer questions. We also have many informative videos available and offer easy access to certified lactation consultants.
