Avera Children's Champion

What makes someone a hero? It's not their height or muscle mass. Heroes are defined by their exceptional courage and inner strength. Thanks to caring donors, we have an opportunity to honor these super kids through the Avera Children's Champion program.

The award recognizes how young patients not only cope with their illness or injury, but how they overcome obstacles with patience, courage, strength and even joy.
