Our staff can help you locate affordable accommodations nearby and special rates are available in local hotels.

Ronald McDonald House:
The Ronald McDonald is a “home away from home” for families whose children are undergoing treatment for serious illness or injury at Avera McKennan facilities. Located at 2001 S. Norton Avenue in Sioux Falls. The Ronald McDonald House has 9 bedrooms, a kitchen, dining room, living rooms, a laundry room, and play and game room.
Transportation:
On the day of discharge, our goal is to have you ready to leave by noon. If possible, we recommend that you ask a family member or friend to pick you up at the hospital. Information regarding taxi services and bus schedules is available in the information desk at the hospital entrance.
