Occupational Rehabilitation

Our CARF-certified Comprehensive Occupational Rehabilitation program is a structured, interdisciplinary program designed to maximize a person's ability to return to work. It addresses a client's functional, physical, behavioral and vocational needs using simulated work activities in conjunction with physical conditioning tasks and client education.

This program is for those who have:

  • Work injury with delayed recovery
  • Musculoskeletal disorder affecting work status or performance

Program Goals

  • Return the injured worker to the job
  • Provide practice and modification of work tasks
  • Develop strength, range of motion and endurance
  • Educate the client about their injury and the prevention of reinjury, including safety, body mechanics, posture, pacing skills, and effective stress management
  • Provide recommendations for returning to work
  • Provide case management to facilitate resolution

  • Individualized exercise programs
  • Work simulation-Worksyms modules
  • Education
  • Pain controlling modalities as needed
  • Ergonomic job analysis
  • Biofeedback
  • Stress management
  • Communication involving medical team and employer
  • Extremity Assessment, BTE Work simulator, and Functional Capacity Evaluation.

Length of Program

Our program is individualized with weekly updates to determine when the patient is able to return to work.
