"bright Beginnings"

Welcome to “bright Beginnings” of Osceola County. The “bright Beginnings” of Osceola County provides care for children six weeks through 12 years of age. The center is open Monday-Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. year round. In addition to providing day care for the younger children, our center offers nursery school and preschool programs for children, three, four and five years of age.

Our facility is designed and outfitted for children. Because each child is special and unique, our qualified staff is ready to work with each child at their own developmental level. We have plenty of age-appropriate material that will make your child's day exciting.

We work closely with the Sibley-Ocheyedan Schools, Sibley Public Library, Sibley Recreation Department, and local nursing homes to ensure that each child will grow physically, emotionally, and socially within our community.

Parents are very important to us. We work hard to meet their needs as well as the needs of each child. A weekly newsletter, parent group, and open communications are just a few of the ways we ensure that parents can share in their child's day with us.

We welcome you to visit our Center and share your concerns and suggestions any time. Your piece of mind and confidence that your child is receiving the very best in child care are important to us.

Second Beginnings

Second Beginnings

Second Beginnings is a second hand thrift store in Sibley that sells gently-used clothing and household goods. The store is run by volunteers from the community and provides help to the people in the community by giving them a “hands up”. Osceola Community Hospitals CEO Janet Dykstra commented, “By helping those in the community get back on their feet, in the end it helps our community because when they are able, they can give back to the community. Helping people who in turn can help other people is like a circle of care. Things are able to come back into the community for the benefit of the community”.

Second Beginnings opened its doors in December of 2005 and has been embraced by the community in such a manner that the revenue dollars will go towards “bright Beginnings” of Osceola County to help the children at the community’s day care.

A mission the store has developed is helping those locally, but is helping local churches send much needed items to Haiti, different Native American Reservations, and the YMCA in Sioux Falls, Justice for All, Goodwill Industries, and other overseas nations.

Volunteers are critical to the success of “Second Beginnings”. Anyone is welcome to volunteer, if interested please call Lois May at 712-754-9997.

3rd Beginnings

3rd Beginnings

3rd Beginnings Used Furniture Store opened its doors in October of 2008. Because of the accomplishments and escalation of 2nd Beginnings the community saw a need for a used furniture store. The hospital in cooperation with A.T.L.A.S. (Attaining, Truth, Love, and Self-Control) of Osceola County and other volunteers has opened its doors to a diversified community and have seen a large turnover of merchandise benefiting all.

3rd Beginnings is located at 230 9th on Main Street Sibley, Iowa
