Our Physicians

Andrew N. Clark, MD
Dr. Clark is a family practitioner, with a special interest in geriatrics and gastrointestinal problems. Dr. Clark loves being a husband and father and can often be found spending his free time with his family. His other hobbies include traveling, golfing, reading, fishing and exercising. Dr. Clark applauds the local health community’s team approach in providing quality health care, close to home.

Lisa Even, MD

Dr. Even enjoys working with women’s health issues including obstetrics. She also enjoys working with pediatric patients and focusing on preventive health care. In her free time, Dr. Even enjoys spending time with her husband, three children and extended family and friends. She can also be found gardening, reading and fishing. She is happy to live in the Gregory area and is proud that the clinic is able to provide such a wide variety of services to it’s patients.

Richard Kafka, MD

Dr. Kafka enjoys living in Gregory, where the community is small enough that he is able to know all of the families that he cares for. He believes in the importance of working hard to retain health care services in rural areas. When Dr. Kafka isn’t treating patients, he enjoys photography and spending time at home with his wife and three children.

John A. Malm, MD

Dr. Malm works with patients to help them manage their own health care and maintain their independence. In his free time, Dr. Malm enjoys hiking, horseback riding, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Dr. Malm appreciates working with the wonderful people at the Avera Gregory Medical Clinic and Avera Gregory Healthcare Center.

Ruth (Nelson) Galbraith, CNP

Ruth is a founding member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of South Dakota and is an active member of the South Dakota medical community in a variety of capacities.

Sue Hogue, CNP

Sue loves working in the caring environment of Avera Gregory Medical Clinic, which she says is a direct reflection of her coworker’s compassion. She appreciates feeling needed by her patients and values the relationships she has built with them. When she isn’t working at the clinic, Sue enjoys sports (especially golf), gardening and spending time with friends and family.

Leigh M. Lyon, PA-C

Leigh is a family practice physician assistant who, before joining Avera McKennan, served as clinical supervisor at the Wagner Indian Health Service Unit in Wagner, S.D. She is a member of many professional associations, including the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the South Dakota Nurses Association and the South Dakota EMT Association.
