About Us

The facilities at Avera Prince of Peace offer current computer technologies to enhance thinking and memory skills in speech pathology, as well as aquatic therapy at Avera McKennan Hospital and University Health Center and the Avera McKennan Fitness Center to assist physical rehabilitation.

Avera Prince of Peace offers the finest in medical testing and healing equipment, along with direct access to Avera McKennan. Our goal is to help patients of all ages return to their lifestyles or recover to the highest possible level.

In addition to the skilled nursing services, including services for Alzheimer's and dementia, Avera Prince of Peace also offers outreach screening clinics and inpatient hospice services.

Rehabilitation

Physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists, assisted by a restorative therapy department, provide rehabilitation services as directed by the physician. The goal of therapy is improvement and maintenance of functional abilities.

Facility and Furnishings

Avera Prince of Peace is located in a quiet neighborhood in southeastern Sioux Falls. Residents are welcome to bring their own furnishings such as rocker, radio, TV or other possessions. A bed, night stand, chest of drawers and basic cable TV are provided. Residents and families are encouraged to decorate rooms to create a home-like atmosphere.
