McGreevy Clinic Partners With Avera McKennan Hospital And University Health Center

McGreevy Clinic is now McGreevy Clinic Avera.  John Healy, Administrator of McGreevy Clinic, announced today that McGreevy Clinic has partnered with Avera McKennan Hospital and University Health Center effective January 1, 2006. 

"The final decision to join Avera McKennan was made after many months of contemplation and discussion among our physicians," Healy says.  "We are confident that this partnership will ensure the strength of our practice for the betterment of our community, employees and most importantly, the patients we serve."   McGreevy Clinic Avera will have access to the hospital's advanced technologies and services, enhancing McGreevy Clinic Avera's ability to meet growing primary healthcare demands in Sioux Falls and surrounding areas.  The partnership will also provide the clinic with greater resources for physician recruitment and retention.

McGreevy Clinic was started in 1937 by John McGreevy, MD, in Mitchell, SD.  The practice moved to Sioux Falls in 1946.  Today, McGreevy Clinic Avera operates five clinics in the Sioux Falls area and plans to open a sixth clinic at the southwest corner of 69th Street and Western Avenue in late 2006.  The main clinic is on the Avera McKennan campus.  McGreevy Clinic Avera employs more than 40 physicians who specialize in Family Practice, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics and Sports Medicine.
