How It Will Be Done

Avera IHBG will consist of a central core of child behavioral specialists, educators and scientists serving in two major areas of focus:

Centers of Excellence for the Study and Treatment of Child and Adolescent Emotional Behavioral Problems

• Maternal Health and Wellness Center
• Early Child Health Promotion, Prevention and Intervention Center
• School Based Health Promotion, Prevention and Intervention Center
• At Risk Family-Based Treatment Center
• Special Populations Community-Based Center

Centers of Excellence for the Study and Treatment of Child and Adolescent Emotional Behavioral Problems

• Autism and Pervasive Development Disorders
• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
• Obsessive Compulsive and Anxiety Disorders
• Mood and Bipolar Disorders
• Substance Use Disorders

Initially, the central core will be developed along with as many of the specialized programs and centers as funding allows.
