The Care Store, located on the ground floor of the Avera Cancer Institute, is the first store of its kind in the region that tailors to the unique needs of those touched by cancer. This store features unique gifts such as specialty greeting cards by Solace Creek, inspirational jewelry, clothing, music, lotions, and many other items for family and friends supporting those with cancer.

A variety of products are available to meet the needs of those who have been diagnosed with cancer. Specialty products include scarves, turbans, hats, sleepwear and many other care and comfort products.

Clothing with a Difference

  • Sleepwear especially made to wick away moisture to keep patients comfortable and dry as they experience hot flashes.
  • Hats and turbans made with soft breathable fabrics and minimal seams to accommodate skin sensitivity.

Care & Comfort Products

  • Specialty skin care to relieve dry and chapped skin resulting from chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
  • Wig care products by Look of Love.
  • Pill organizers and other accessories available to organize daily medications.

Caring Gifts

  • Solace Creek cards are unique to those seeking to console the afflicted, the care giver, the family member, and friend on their journey.
  • Inspirational items, angels, hats and clothing with a message, CD's books, jewelry, ceramic sentiments and many other items available to support those touched by cancer.

One-Stop Shopping

Our inviting, full-service retail store is open to the general public with gifts and other items that provide a complete shopping experience. Patient room delivery is also available.

Care Store Salon

The Care Store is also home to the Care Store Salon. The Salon provides wigs for cancer patients and expert styling and consultation. Learn more about the Salon»

Post Mastectomy Products and Services

Your appointment for post mastectomy products should take place at approximately 6 - 8 weeks after your surgery. The first fitting may take about an hour.  Fittings take place at the Avera Living Well Center, located at 2400 South Minnesota Avenue.
