A Time To Heal

A 12 week holistic rehabilitation program designed to help women regain their physical, emotional, and spiritual health after breast cancer treatment.

Date: Spring and Fall sessions. We are currently accepting registration for the Fall 2008 session. Call 322-3000 for more information.

Bone Marrow Transplant Support Group

This group is for patients, friends and family members who are considering or have undergone, a Bone Marrow Transplant.

Date and Time: Every second Thursday - 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
Location: Avera Cancer Institute, Ground Floor, Library

Cancer Treatment Support Group

A supportive interactive group open to anyone who is actively receiving treatment for their cancer. Led by an Oncology Nurse and Social Worker. No registration is required.
Date and Time: Weekly. Starting Tuesday March 4th - 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
Location: Avera Cancer Institute

Look Good...Feel Better

Cancer doesn't have to take away your self-confidence. This program teaches beauty techniques to women who are in active treatment for cancer. It is a free, non-medical program offered in partnership with the American Cancer Society.

Date and Time:
Every second Tuesday -1:00 PM - 3:00 PM or
Every fourth Wednesday - 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Location: Avera Cancer Institute

To Be Well: Living With Multiple Myeloma, Lymphoma, Leukemia

Grab lunch or a coffee and join Dr. Kelly McCaul of Avera Hematology & Transplant for this discussion about risk factors, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment options for blood-related disorders. There will also be time for any questions about other blood related cancers or disorders.

Date and Time:  Monthly. Call 322-3000 for a specific time.
