Careflight Memberships

When serious illness or injury strikes, every second counts. Emergency air transport could be critical to survival and recovery.

With Careflight, Avera McKennan in Sioux Falls and Avera St. Luke's in Aberdeen are bringing state-of-the-art medical technologies to people throughout the region, often beginning trauma care in the air.  This program is ONLY available to those requiring services in the Sioux Falls and Aberdeen regional areas.  

The Membership Program

Because the cost of air transport often exceeds $4,000, Avera McKennan and Avera St. Luke's offer the Careflight Membership Program. For a low membership fee of $49 per year, you have full protection for you and all immediate family members in need of emergency medical transport.

In all cases, emergency personnel decide whether the use of Careflight is necessary.

If you or a family member need Careflight emergency transport, costs are completely covered for either Avera McKennan or Avera St. Luke's service. We will bill your insurance carrier and accept their payment as payment in full. And if you do not carry medical insurance, when you are a Careflight member your costs will be covered.  Careflight services are ONLY provided to those requiring services in the Sioux Falls and Aberdeen regional areas.
